Boston Latino TV (BLTV) celebrated its five year anniversary with over 200 of their closest friends at an upscale shinding at Underbar (Caprice, 275 Tremont Street, Boston MA). This year theme, "Make a Difference", recognized those who supported the mission of Boston Latino TV and helped its development to become the premium Latino English-language TV show in midstream.
The 2008 Boston Latino TV Access Awards started with a surprise award to Araminta Romero, who was honored with the Make a Difference Award for their contributions to making Boston Latino TV the premium English-language online channel that showcases the Latino presence in Boston.
Among the 2008 honorees were:

- José Massó | Artist & Celebrity Access
- Hector Piña | Most Influential Leader
Evelyn Reyes (who was also celebrating her birthday) was also surprised with the the Boston Latino Community Media Award, which recognizes an individual that demonstrates unwavering passion for creating media from the Latino perspective that connects and engages those outside the Latino community.
During the event, the cast and crew of the popular television show and online channel handed special recognitions to several organizations and individuals that have embraced their mission of showcasing the Latino presence. Local comedian Tom E. Morello opened the festivities and belly dancer extraordinaire Meiver de la Cruz gave the night a great touch. DJ La Fraga provided the music and the rest as they say…is history!
