Boston Latino TV recognized the "Agents of Change" that are helping advance the Latino community in the Boston Area. Ramiro Torres, radio host personality from JAM'N 94.5, took the stage and announced that Governor Deval Patrick had joined the celebration to proclaim the first "Latino Media Day" in Massachusetts.

Artistic performances by talented Latino personalities are included during the Access Awards, and are also part of a television entertainment special with a cause. Ramiro Torres "the freakin' puertorrican", one of the nation’s leading radio personalities, was the MC of the 2009 Access Awards.

Boston Latino TV honored and recognized six individuals or organizations that have demonstrated commitment to the Latino community by using their influence, creativity, leadership, networks, passion, vision and spirit for the advancement of the Latino community.
