Professional Networking
In 1987, David J. Cortiella, Esq., a senior official within Mayor Ray Flynn's administration, founded the Latino Professional Network. The network was created in an effort to support Latino professionals and to create visibility of the growing Latino population of Massachusetts. Since the first networking session was held in August of 1987, the LPN has grown its membership to over 2,500 Latino professionals. To date, the LPN has sponsored over 100 monthly networking sessions, while still maintaining Cortiella's vision of bringing together Latino professionals
