Boston Latino TV Access Awards

Through annual Access Awards celebration, Boston Latino TV honors and recognizes individuals and organizations that have demonstrated commitment to the Latino community by using their influence, creativity, leadership, networks, passion, vision, spirit and talent for the advancement of the Latino community.

Influential Leader Award is presented to an individual that demonstrates outstanding dedication, commitment and leadership that strengthens our community
Make a Difference Award is presented to an individual that is creative, innovative; results oriented and take the initiative to be an agent of change.
Media Award is presented to an individual that demonstrates unwavering passion for creating, writing, producing or delivering media from the Latino perspective that connects and engages viewers with our community.
Visionary Award is presented to an individual or institution that demonstrates, vision, initiative and perseverance in attaining its mission.

Community Networking Award is presented to an individual or institution in recognition of consistent exposure of professional and influential members of the Latino community.
Entrepreneurial Spirit Award is presented to a business, organization or group that has directed their energies, ideas, and talents toward community advancement with the creative and innovative use of new media technology.
Artistic Expression Award is presented to an artist or a group that has demonstrated dedication to their craft by persevering and achieving success.


CELEBRATING LATINO MEDIA Governor Deval Patrick will join the celebration again this year to acknowledge his proclamation of Latino Media Day at the 2009 Access Awards. The awards reception took place on Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at 7:00 pm, at Royale Nightclub, located at 279 Tremont Street, Boston. Representatives of the most important ethnic media outlets, professional and non-profit organizations, business owners and elected officials were welcomed by Francisco Chacon at the red carpet photo arrival. Among the distinguished guests in attendance were: Lt. Gov. Tim Murray, Senator Sonia Chang Diaz, State Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez, City Councilor at Large Felix Arroyo, Chelsea City Councilor, Marilyn Vega, candidate for State Auditor Mike Lake, Colonel Alexandra Accardi of the National Guard, Jim Hickey, Vice-President of the Century Division at United Liquors, Manny Gonzalez, Director - Hispanic Moet-Hennessy, Kevin Alston and Khano Smith, New England Revolution professional soccer players and two-time world heavyweight champion John “The Quietman” Ruiz.

Boston Latino TV hosts Evelyn Reyes and Gil Matos, MCs of this year's Access Awards, took the stage to welcome the audience and invite them to enjoy cordials courtesy of Hennessy Privilege V.S.O.P.
