Boston, Monday April 2nd, 2012 -- Through the 5th Annual Access Awards celebration, Boston Latino TV will honor and recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to the advancement of the Latino community by using their influence, creativity, leadership, networks, passion, vision, spirit and talent.
This year’s awards will take place on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 7:00 pm, at Royale Nightclub, located at 279 Tremont Street, Boston. We are expecting over 600 representatives of the most important ethnic media outlets, professional networks, non-profit organizations, business owners and elected officials that are helping shape New England’s history.
Nominations are open to the public until Friday, April 27, 2012, in the following categories:
- Influential Leader Award is presented to an individual that demonstrates outstanding dedication, commitment and leadership that strengthens our community.
- Make a Difference Award is presented to an individual that is creative, innovative; results oriented and take the initiative to be an agent of change.
- Community Networking Award is presented to an individual or institution in recognition of consistent exposure of professional and influential members of the Latino community.
- Media Award is presented to an individual that demonstrates unwavering passion for creating, writing, producing or delivering media from the Latino perspective that connects and engages viewers with our community.
- Visionary Award is presented to an individual or institution that demonstrates, vision, initiative and perseverance in attaining its mission.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit Award is presented to a business, organization or group that has directed their energies, ideas, and talents toward community advancement with the creative and innovative use of new media technology.
- Artistic Expression Award is presented to an artist or a group that has demonstrated dedication to their craft by persevering and achieving success while enhancing the image of the Latino community.
Please submit the name, short description or bio and the reason why you feel s/he should be considered for this recognition. Nominations must be completed online at www.bostonlatinotv.com/accessawards by Friday, April 27, 2012. Honorees will be selected by a committee made up of previous year's Access Awards honorees.
